Saudi Scouts guide over 92,000 lost Hajj pilgrims in 7 days

MAKKAH – Members of the Saudi Arabian Scout Association in Makkah and the Holy Sites guided as many as 92,592 pilgrims of different nationalities in one week during the Hajj pilgrimage.

The Saudi scouts deployed at the public service camps in Makkah and the Holy Sites carried out the mission of guiding the pilgrims during the 7-day period covering one day before Hajj and the Hajj days from Dhul Hijjah 7 till 13 (July 6 -12).

The scouts guided 6976 lost pilgrims to the to their campaign headquarters, while 85,616 pilgrims were guided with advice and the required explanation through smart applications. The number of trips undertaken by Scouts reached 2,288.

Dr. Abdullah Al-Fahd, vice president of the Scout Association, thanked Prince Khaled Al-Faisal, emir of Makkah, advisor to Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and chairman of the Central Hajj Committee, Prince Abdulaziz Bin Saud Bin Naif, minister of interior and chairman of the Supreme Hajj Committee, and other officials for the success of the Hajj.

The Scout Association works to promote the spirit of volunteerism and altruism among young Saudis, especially in serving the guests of God.
