RIYADH, October 23. /TASS/. Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman Al Saud will receive a Russian business delegation that has just arrived in Riyadh to take part in the Kingdom’s investment forum, two representatives of the Russian mission told TASS.

"The meeting is scheduled for tonight. It will focus on expanding investment cooperation and outline prospects for Russian companies to operate on Saudi Arabia’s market," one of them said. The other confirmed the information.

The Russian delegation headed by Russian Direct Investment Fund CEO Kirill Dmitriev consists of Sibur CEO Dmitry Konov, Alrosa CEO Sergey Ivanov, Safmar Group owner Mikhail Gutseriev and others.

The second Future Investment Initiatives (FII) forum spearheaded by the Saudi Crown Prince is being held in Riyadh from October 23 to 25. This year, the conference coincided with diplomatic friction between Saudi Arabia and the West that condemned the murder of journalist Jamal Khashoggi in the Kingdom’s embassy in Turkey. As a result, numerous members of the western elite decided to skip the forum.
