UAE, US joint military exercise begins

ABU DHABI: A two-week joint military exercise between the ground forces of the UAE and the United States Army, known as, “Iron Union 6,” was launched on Sunday.
The exercise is aimed at developing and promoting ties between both countries through training, and exchanging of military expertise, and to raise their combat capabilities and improve skills of their ground forces.
All necessary arrangements for the joint drill were put in place and the US forces participating in the exercise, which is the most prominent in the region, have arrived.
The UAE ground forces’ joint plans and programs with other countries aim to exchange and develop skills and efficiency of their personnel and increase the level of combat readiness according to the latest combat systems most advanced military equipment.
It also aims to benefit from mutual expertise, promote international cooperation in joint military operations, as well as achieve country’s goal of addressing current global challenges and crises.
